About this job
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Consultant or Principal Consultant to be part of our digital team working in public policy consultancy. The successful candidate will contribute to building up digital-relevant method and thematic expertise, leading project delivery in the digital area and growing the digital market at EU-level.
Your profile
  • Analytical skills and consulting experience: Proven experience in coordinating, designing and delivering digital policy studies AND/OR evaluations/impact assessments for the European Commission (in particular DG CNECT or DG DIGIT)
  • Proven Digital policy expertise and affinity with working with technology organisations and experts
  • Knowledge of: 
    • Digital strategies and policies of the European Commission, including for DG CNECT or DG DIGIT
    • Expertise in one of the following areas: Digital government (i.e. eGovernment / digitising public services), digital transformation of industry and businesses, societal impact of digital technologies, digital R&I, and/or smart cities 
    • Expertise on one or more of the following topics is considered a plus: Digital Services Act, Digital Markets Act, and regulatory framework on AI
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience with digital policy studies (for instance in studies analysing technology and policy trends through data collection methods) OR evaluations and impact assessments covering for instance regulations and acts in the digital area
  • Business development: Proven experience in business development and proposal writing for the European Commission (i.e. DG CNECT or DG DIGIT)
  • Degree: A degree in engineering, computer science or ICT OR a policy-related degree combined with technolology-relevant experience
  • Project management: Above 7 or 10 years on digital-related topics
  • Language: C2 in English is required
Your responsibilities
  • Manage multiple projects in the digital area, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget. 
  • Conduct digital policy studies (i.e. analysing technology and policy trends through data collection methods) OR evaluations of public policies and programmes in the digital area, using a range of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
  • Write clear and concise reports that present findings and recommendations in a compelling and accessible manner. 
  • Deliver engaging presentations to clients and stakeholders, communicating complex information in a clear and understandable way. 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring their satisfaction with our work. 
  • Contribute to the development of new business opportunities by identifying potential opportunities and preparing proposals.
